引言——

又到了瓜果飘香的季节，去年的九月，我带着新疆喀什的孩子来北京演出，五个民族和部落的「童声嘉年华」登上保利剧场的舞台。

一年后的今天，来自西域的消息常常让人心怀忧傷。我期待着︰帕来尔高原和叶尔羌河畔的「心灵歌唱」能更多带给我们阳光。

特將一年前的文章與照片與朋友們分享。

喀什噶尔在何方

WHERE ON EARTH IS KASHGAR

三十年前的冬日，

我走在遥远的《丝绸之路》上。

从古都西安到喀什噶尔，

与NHK的同行一路采访。

On a winter day thirty years ago,

Towards the long and winding Silk Road,

From Xian to Kashgar, lo and behold,

With NHK reporter crew, we traveled.

三十年过去了，

没有多少人还记得那节目的播放。

不过，喜多郎君的《遥远的路》，

却成为不朽的旋律常常萦绕在耳旁。

Time flies by, it's been thirty years,

The programme remembered, will it ever be?

Kitaro's theme music made history,

Every notes are still in my ears.

喀什噶尔在何方？

始终在我“丝路”记忆的天平上。

塔克拉玛干的风卷走了太多的印迹，

阿勒屯鲁克的花园传来《十二木卡姆》的清香。

帕米尔山峦上的雄鹰凌空而去，

慕士塔格冰峰的雪壁映照前世行旅的脸庞。

Where on earth is Kashgar?

It's in my memory, not too far;

The footprints blown off by the wind of Talimakan,

The fragrance came from Onlkki's Twelve Muqam;

Huge falcons flew high on the Pamir Heights,

Past visitors of snow-capped Muztaga shown their sights.

不能忘记的还有——

喀什噶尔孩子们的模样，

与我家乡呼伦贝尔的小伙伴不同，

他们喧闹、奔放、乐天、洒脱，

像叶尔羌河激流中顶水的鱼在歌唱。

Can't forget the Kashgar Children looks,

They're different from the Hulun Buir folks;

They're chatty, bouncy, sunny and lively kids,

Like the singing fishes of Zerepshan Rapids.

棉花地里，毛驴车上，

瓜果树下，铁匠炉旁，

常常见到他们敏捷的身影，

充满着阳光。

At the cotton field, on top of a mule-cart,

Below a fruit tree, in a blacksmith's yard,

You will always see them working hard;

Warm rays of the sun fill their golden hearts.

不要让他们听见鼓点和旋律，

那就撞到了喀什噶尔孩子的强项，

没有羞怯，没有预感，

没有腼腆，没有准备，

乐舞的蓓蕾和果籽突然会灿烂绽放。

Don't ever let them hear drums and percussions,

You'll see Kashgar Kid's best propositions,

No fear from shyness, no pre-conceived notion,

No need to prepare, no worry of inhibitions,

Their seeds of song and dance are explosive, without question!

我想——

“五彩传说”民族儿童文化工程，

应该让喀什噶尔的孩子闪亮登场。

塔吉克、柯尔克孜、乌兹别克，

三个人口较少的高原民族，

还有维吾尔族的两个古老部落

山里人和刀郎。

I reckon the children cultural work by the Kashgar Legends,

Shall feature the brilliance of children in Kashgar Region's;

Kyrgyz, Uzbek and Tajik,

Three highland minority ethnics;

Two oldest Uyghur tribes picked,

Mounties and Dolan and all their music.

一年的创业时间难论短长，

《冰山上的来客》传出了孩子们的声响，

四十一位小伙伴一步一回头，

第一次离开西域边陲的家乡。

从没有坐过火车，

就一步搭乘来往北京的飞机上。

It's hard to say whether one year seems too long a time,

You hear the Visitors from Icy Mountain and their sounds;

Forty-one small wonders, looking back every step they take,

This is their first time to leave home, a long trip to make;

They've never been on a train before, we've found,

But one step onto a plane that's Beijing bound.

喀什噶尔的“五彩”，

与“五彩”的呼伦贝尔一样，

能带来久违的记忆和联想——

像是戈壁胡杨树一夜之间泛了秋黄，

像是卡拉库里湖迁徙的大雁鸣叫着展翅飞翔。

或是法显和玄奘孤独信仰之旅，

在大漠远方听闻驼铃响叮当。

或是马克·波罗在此叩问东方大国，

留下惊异的目光。

……

The Quintessenso Kashgar,

Same as the Quintessenso Hulun Buir,

Will bring you amazing memory, long-lost or blurred……

Like the Gobi Poplar trees turning yellow overnight,

Or the migrating birds at Lake Kalakuli taking to flight;

Like the lonely missions to foreign land, by Monk Faxian and Xuanzhong,

Or at the remotest desert on earth, the camel bells chiming along;

Or the Cathay's splendors Marco Polo said he had seen,

Keep both Westerners and Chinese amazed ever since……

当演出结束时，

请记住帕米尔高原诗人的吟唱——

没有一株草不向往远方，

没有一块石头不拥有自己的家乡，

没有一匹骆驼能驼走太阳的新娘，

没有一位冰山来客能摘去雄鹰的翅膀。

I like you to know when the show is done,

Remember the Pamir Heights poet had once sung:

No grass does not want further to be grown,

No stone does not want a home of its own;

No camel can take away the bride of the sun,

No visitor of the icy mountain can break the wings of a falcon.
